DVD Drafts.
Below are my two drafts for my DVD covers. After researching DVD covers i found that DVDs conventionally follow the route of the eye, like the magazine covers. This means that the DVD will follow most of the conventions that the magazine will have. The image will still pass through the hotspots of the DVD, which will make the image have the most attention drawn to it, just as the masthead will be in the same place. At the bottom the terminal optical area is located, again i will use this knowledge to base my own on. Using this information, i have applied it to my drafts. I have made my covers look fun and clear to read to the audience as this is important to make the target audience want to purchase my DVD. I have also made it appealing to the audience by showing the audicence that this is the first time on DVD and its from the CBBC channel which a most of my target audience will watch. Again this will make the audience take into account what the content of the DVD is. My drafts are quite ordered because this will appeal to the older side of my target audience, yet the off centre coverlines will make it look more cluttered to make it appealing to the younger target audience.
